Low Battery Mode

Mick is so helpful.

My posts have been few and far between during this semester. I apologize, but I just don’t have the energy to update as often.

And my life has been extremely low key lately.

When you’re chronically ill, it’s like being on battery conservation mode. You have to cancel out other “programs” so that you are able to do what’s most important. For me right now, that’s school work and making sure my house isn’t a complete disaster. Also taking care of Mick and spending some down time with Dave.

Happily, I can report I’m doing pretty well in my courses! This is of huge importance to me. Getting my degree is not only important now, but for the future. I am hoping that I can finish and land a job where I make a difference, and am able to do within my limitations.

I’m going to think about some things I can post about in the meantime, without having to do a lot physically or that mentally extenuating. A lot of times with chronic illness, you don’t just suffer from physical fatigue, but also mental fatigue.

Maybe some things beauty and self care related in the realm of chronic illness and pain, products I love (which are usually pretty cheap) and things I do that help me achieve what I need to?

I also want to add a page that has links and info about ankylosing spondylitis and related diseases.

We are planning a little getaway this weekend, which I am excited for!

Hope you are all doing well!
