Fort Steele

On Sunday Dave, Micky and I took a trip to Fort Steele Historical Town. The weather was great, and although the forecast called for thunder storms in the afternoon, none were had.

My understanding is that the original town stood where the  present heritage town does today. Apparently the town began to dwindle when the train station was built not in Fort Steele, but in Cranbrook.

I don’t think there is anything cuter then Mick and these lambs checking each other out! They kept touching noses and were very curious!

Mick was very interested in one of the work horses until the horse went to sniff him and Mick realized just how big he is!

The back drop for Fort Steele are the amazing Rocky Mountains.  The scenery is stunning.

I will post some pics I took of the interiors another time.
